GUEST SPEAKER (NEW!)
Amanda has invited Jamuna, the resident Iridologist at Tring, to run a workshop exclusively for our detox group (on Tuesday evening) after being very impressed by her work.
Jamuna's interest in natural medicine began in the 1980's, when she started experimenting with whole food diets and natural remedies. Her search for spirituality and a simpler way of life led her to spend several years in ashrams around the world where she practiced daily meditation and discovered the wisdom of the Vedas, the 5,000 years old scriptures of ancient India, where the heart and science of Ayuveda originates.
In 1998 Jamuna completed her training in Iridology under such world renowned practitioners as Dr. Daniele Lo Rito, Harry Wolf and John Andrews at the College of Herbs and Natural Healing, UK. Jamuna next moved to New Zealand and underwent further training though Wellpark College of Natural Therapies, where she gained a Diploma in Naturopathy and a Diploma in Medical Herbalism. Finally, in 2003, she moved to Australia and completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) through Charles Sturt University, Bathurst, New South Wales. In July 2007, Jamuna went to Thailand and worked for several months at a wellness spa, supervising detoxes and educating guests on Natural Health and Iridology. From Thailand she went to India and again spent several months in an ashram, writing about the history of Ayuveda and Naturopathic Medicine for her forthcoming book.
She returned to England in 2009, became a registered member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and began offering Iridology and Flower Essences Consultations at Champneys, Tring. She will be available for cosultations during your retreat.
